Sallie Mae Website Redesign

It’s tax time again – which means I had to log into my Sallie Mae account to gather my tax documents. I rarely visit the site, and always dread doing so for obvious reasons, but also because it usually takes a couple link clicks to find the log-in which means spending more time viewing a poorly design and fairly ugly website for longer than I care to. Thankfully they have updated their homepage and now I only partially dread visiting the site. The awful navigation still remains an issue and unnecessary repeats of page navigation are still present as highlighted on VARLOODESIGN, but at least I can now log-on in a timely manner and view one less poorly designed page.

I wish I had a screenshot of the old page to share but here’s the new one. It’s much more pleasant to look at and now extremely easy to find the log-in. Maybe they’ll work out the rest of the navigation confusion before I pay-off my loan in 9 years and 7 months!
